The wine and food society of Clark County gathered in the comfortable surrounds of the historic Grant House around 6:00pm to enjoy the "Cajun Taste of New Orleans" at The Club at the Historic Reserve. This gracious members only event hosted a wide variety of wines brought to share by many members. From reds to whites, each member had an opportunity to share the taste of fantastic wines. The first course started with a salad wedge with bacon and avocado and served with Ranch dressing. The 2nd course, members enjoyed blackened Gulf Red Fish accompanied with red beans and raise and braised greens. The 3rd course was a delicious Mardi Gras King cake. The staff shared many stories and histories of the Grant House, even some ghost stories! President, Dan Foster sliced the Mardi Gras cake as initiation to dessert and two lucky members won a prize inside their slice of cake. It was a nice eventful evening of fun, laughter, and sharing of fine wine. |
