Oktoberfest
Sunday, October 7, 2007

Summary

On Sunday, October 7, 2007 the Clark County Food And Wine Association learned about German wines and the various regions at the lovely home of Keith and Barbara Gaginier. Carmen Gunn (German descent) brought various wines for all members to taste from the various regions in Germany. Many of the wines are not sold or distributed in the United States. Over the year, Carmen collected wines from Germany on her various trips abroad. As she introduced the wines, 1 oz pours were done for all members to taste.

German foods were brought in by many members ranging from beer sausages, red cabbage, sauerkraut, sauerbratten, cheese fondue, sausages and mustard, delectible pies, apple kuchen, and much, much more. All of the food was delicious.

The venue was topped off by the background music of traditional Oktoberfest. The event was festive and fun. Over 30 members attended the event.
