The Grant Awards Program is one of
the ways in which the Wine & Food Society
of Clark Countycarries out its mission
of education and excellence in the culinary and viticulture arts.
The program was created with the intention of providing an annual
source of funds for educational and innovative projects in wine
and food. The program was also designed to inspire applicants to
think creatively and make a positive contribution to Oregon and
Washington's culinary and viticulture heritage.
To apply, applicants must download
the application below, fully complete it and send it to the Foundation
office postmarked no later than January 1, 2007. Please note that
applications will not be returned.
Applicants will receive a confirmation
letter and an award determination will be made no later than May
1, 2007.
Grant Application Guidelines
Projects or programs submitted for funding must
fall within The Wine and Food Society's mission of providing education
and research in the areas of Wine and Food.
Projects or programs must make innovative and
efficient use of funding.
The Society insists on objectivity and equal
opportunity regardless of race, creed, gender or religion. Grants
will be accessible to all segments of society.
Grants for research and education are made
in two areas: Food and/or Wine
Grant applications must be mailed to the Society,
and all information must be submitted via the Society’s application
form. Any additional materials, such as CDs, brochures or visual
aids will not be submitted to the reviewers.
Grant awardees must submit an outcome or follow-up
report on the progress of the project/program after six months and
once again a year after funding is given. Additional reporting may
be necessary, depending on the project/program.
Grant applications will be accepted beginning
November 1, 2006 through January 1, 2007.
Grants will be awarded in the Spring at the
Rare & Fine Wine Auction or no later than May 1, 2007.
Grant award winners will be notified via the
Society's office.
Grant award winners will assist (if asked)
in the promotional activities of the Society for an unrestricted
period of time, during which the Society shall have the right to
use both the name and identity of the participant in marketing or
promotional materials. It is understood that the winner’s
name and image may be listed as an award recipient of the Society
at any time.
